LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A man who admitted sending child pornography on the Internet and asking two Kentucky women to help set up sexual encounters with children has been sentenced to 12.5 years in prison. Officials say 31-year-old Patrick Michael Reilly of Clarksville, Tennessee, was sentenced yesterday.
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Authorities have arrested a Graves County man charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of a couple whose bodies were found in their home last month. Police say 23-year-old Dustin McKinney of Paducah was arrested early yesterday.
FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - A coal company whose president helped raise $7 million for a new athletics dorm at the University of Kentucky has been a major contributor to state political campaigns. Alliance Resource Partners and its political action committee have given at least $400,000 to Kentucky candidates and political committees since 2005.
FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Investigators have concluded that bad food wasn't the primary cause of a fiery riot at a Kentucky prison in August. Investigators said the inmates were instead reacting to a partial lockdown when they rioted and set fires that destroyed most of the buildings at Northpoint Training Center.
