Pregnant Woman Killed By Falling Concrete

A freak accident in downtown Lexington kills a woman who was eight months pregnant.

It happened around 7:30 Tuesday morning, when a truck in a parking garage hit a concrete panel off the second floor of a parking garage. The concrete slab fell and crushed Stephanie Hufnagel and her unborn baby. Hufnagel worked at Chase Bank.

The concrete panel was about six inches thick and weighed several thousand pounds.

Police are trying to figure out why the truck hit the wall. The truck's two front wheels were hanging out of the parking garage.

Stephanie Hufnagel had a daughter, Raigann. Chase Bank has established a fund for Raigann. If you'd like to donate, go to any Chase Bank branch and make your donation to the "Raigann Hufnagel Fund."

We'll continue to follow this story and we'll bring you the latest updates as they become available.
